In recent years, Prospect Park South has
been blessed with a relatively low crime rate for New York
City. The Association has worked hard over the years to make
Prospect Park South a safe place. The board has cultivated
a strong relationship with the NYPD and the Commander of
the 70th Precinct. The
PPSA's Security Director puts in many volunteer hours working
with the uniformed officers assigned to our area to help
insure that any issues and concerns facing PPS are addressed.
In addition to working with the NYPD, the
Association spends over forty thousand dollars per year to
have private security patrol our streets. The funds for this
additional security is paid for voluntarily by residents
of PPS. (Click Here to Pay Your Share)
The Association also has a representative
on the Flatbush Security Council who attends monthly Precinct
meetings, and when necessary makes sure our voice is heard.
